Hey Gals: 10 Returning Shows to Look Forward to This Spring and Summer
Finally! Some of our favorite shows are back to ease us into summer.
1. Catastrophe (Amazon) - Season 3 premieres April 28
Catastrophe is the story of an American man and an Irish woman who have a one night stand while in London on business -- and get knocked up. They decide to get together and raise the baby. Hilarity ensues.
2. Master of None (Netflix) - Season 2 premieres May 12
Master of None stars Aziz Ansari (from Parks and Recreation fame) as Dev, a struggling actor finding his way in NYC with the help of his (real-life) parents. Aziz is precious and this one is really fun to watch.
3. The Bachelorette (ABC) - Season 13 premieres May 22
What can I say about this that you don't already know? Rachel Lindsay is officially our first black Bachelorette and you can bet that ABC is going to milk that for all its worth.
4. Casual (Hulu) - Season 4 premieres May 23
If I've told you once, I've told you four effin' hundred times: you need to be watching Casual. I love all my children equally except this one. This is my favorite. Let it become your favorite too. Hit up a buddy for their Hulu log in and get on board.
5. Bloodline (Netflix) - Season 3 premieres May 26
Two words: Coach. Taylor.
OK, so Kyle Chandler's name in Bloodline is actually John Rayburn, but he's still dreamy to watch. This is the final season to watch the Rayburn clan juggling their secrets, lies and dysfunctional family drama in the beautiful Florida Keys.
6. Orange is the New Black (Netflix) - Season 5 premieres June 9
OITNB is back and it will be interesting to see where we go from...well, I don't want to spoil it if you haven't finished season four. Just watch.
7. UnREAL (Lifetime) - Season 3 premieres June TBD
The exact premiere date hasn't been released yet, but my research says it will be June. And this season we will finally get a female suitor! Season 2 was a little disappointing but with a new showrunner on board, we should be prepared for a wild season.
8. Insecure (HBO) - Season 2 premieres July 23
Issa's life got real AF at the end of the first season of Insecure. Let's hope for more of the same. One of HBO's best new comedies.
9. Girlfriends Guide to Divorce (Bravo) - Season 4 premieres aUG 17
This one slowly crept up the list as one of my favorite shows. Guilty pleasure? Perhaps, but there's also a lot to get out of this one - especially with the addition of Barbara, the character who holds the women's feet to the fire when it comes to what it means to be a loyal and empathetic friend.
10. Bachelor in Paradise (ABC) - Season 4 premieres August 8
The Bachelor without all the rules! Rumored cast members include: Chase McNary, Robby Hayes, Luke Pell, Wells Adams, Daniel Maguire, Vinny Ventiera, James Taylor, Kristina Schulman, Sarah Vandal, Whitney Fransway, Alexis Waters, Danielle Lombard, Taylor Nolan and of course Raven Gates and Corinne Olympios.
You have all the information, now get to work!
