Fox's The Last Man on Earth

I can't believe I posted my Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt review and didn't say anything about the other new comedy I just started watching, The Last Man on Earth.

In Fox's new comedy series that airs Sunday nights, Will Forte plays Phil Miller, a regular guy who literally finds himself the last man on earth. After traveling the country state by state in an RV picking up artifacts like famous artwork, dinosaur fossils, Oscar trophies and Presidential rugs, Phil decides to take up in an abandoned mansion in Tucson, AZ. He spends his lonely days shooting out windows, "shopping" in deserted grocery stores, pooping in his swimming pool, talking to his army of balls (a la Cast Away) and bathing/drinking from a kiddie pool full of margaritas.

There's not much else I can say without giving spoilers, so I'll just report that this show is wacky, unique and super funny. Like I said about Kimmy Schmidt, this is a nice change of pace from other darker, apocalyptic shows on TV right now, most specifically The Walking Dead. There are no zombies here, no blood-thirsty cannibals; just a lonely guy, drinking his face off and shooting the shit out of whatever he wants.

Episode three of this new series airs tonight at 9:30 pm ET. You still have time to catch up!
