1. Frida, the Rescue Labrador
Here's something to warm your heart in a time of serious destruction and sadness in the world.

Frida, a 7 year old Labrador Retriever and literal "rescue dog" has been deployed to Mexico City hoping she will find survivors of Tuesday’s magnitude 7.1 earthquake, which killed more than 270 people in five states in Mexico. Frida is the star of the Mexican navy’s Canine Unit and has found 52 people — 12 alive — in several world disasters during her career as a rescue dog. Frida also teaches other dogs between the ages of 1 and 5 to do search and rescue. In fact, Evil and Echo, two Belgian Malinois dogs under Frida's tutelage, have been also assisting the rescue efforts in Mexico City. Read more from the Los Angeles Times.

2. This is Us 2nd season premieres Thursday September 26
"It's very heavy." -- This is how creator Dan Fogelman described the season 2 premiere of This is Us to EW.

I think we're in for some tears folks. Here's a sneak peek:

3. Sean Spicer showed up at the Emmys and everyone lost their minds
Not funny, Stephen Colbert and Emmys people. Not funny at all. Sean Spicer is trying to get redemption from his most recent role as Chief of Lying on behalf of Donald Trump to the entire country and we're not having it. Here are some of my favorite tweets from the debacle on Sunday:

4. Stronger, new movie about the Boston bombing, hits theaters today
Put this down as one of those films that I will subject myself to even though I know it will be devastating. But it's important to learn what people went through on that day in my beloved Boston in April 2013.

This newest film about the Boston Marathon bombing is based on Jeff Bauman’s memoir of the same name. Bauman was standing at the race’s finish line, waiting for his ex-girlfriend, when the first bomb exploded. Bauman lost both of his legs in the attack but was able to help the FBI identify one of the bombers after he went through surgery. Stronger stars Jake Gyllenhaal, who plays Bauman, and Tatiana Maslany (of "Orphan Black"), who portrays his ex-girlfriend Erin Hurley. Read more from the Washington Post or view the trailer:

And now that I have you crying all over yourself...

5. @Pennywise_Dance parody account on Twitter
I HATE clowns and I hate the idea of this movie ("It" if you live under a rock) but these Pennywise videos set to pop music sure do take the edge off the bastard a little. Here's my fave; check them all out on Twitter.
