The BOSSY List: 5 things I love this week 8.28.16
1. Odd Mom Out (Bravo).
Jill Webber wears black nail polish, loves carbs, swears and raises her kids herself. She also lives on the Upper East Side and married into old money. Hilarity ensues. "Odd Mom Out" is one of Bravo's two scripted series and is a Franken combo of the rags to riches storyline of "My Fair Lady," the silliness of "Clueless" and the "oddball in NYC" vibe of "The Mindy Project." I just knocked out Season 1 and it's seriously my new favorite thing. Season 2 just wrapped up. Catch up on Seasons 1 and 2 on Bravo.
Looking for a photo editing tool that's web-based and easy to use? Look no further. BeFunky is an online photo editor available for your phone, tablet or PC. And it's not just photo-editing; there's a collage maker and graphic designer function as well! BeFunky is straightforward, user-friendly and FREE (very important). For someone (like myself) who doesn't have the attention span to learn Photoshop, this is a dream. To upgrade to the no-ad version, it's a mere $35/year. Visit their site here or find it in your phone's app store.
I saw Los Angeles-based band, GROUPLOVE, for the first time surrounded by Millennials at Masquerade in Atlanta and despite worrying about being the oldest person in the room, they made an impression and now are one of my favorite alt-rock bands. (They will be playing Atlanta's Music Midtown festival next month --yay!) They have a two new singles out -- "Welcome to My Life" and "Traumatized" -- and neither disappoints. Their third album Big Mess releases September 9.

4. Ghostbusters (2016).
I'm a little tardy to the party with this one but I have to put my two cents in: Ghostbusters was good. It was fun and silly and even a little bad ass. Kate McKinnon is getting most of the attention for her kooky performance (which, was, to be fair, great), but my favorite this time was Melissa McCarthy. She was a little more restrained than her other movies and she killed it. A fun movie that made me laugh that showcased four funny, strong women? That's a win-win! Read a legit review here or here or learn more about the movie here.
I'm heading out tomorrow for one last summer hurrah. See ya suckers!
