The BOSSY List: 5 things I love this week 11.18.16
1. "The Affair" Returns (SHO)
The best thing that's happening to me this weekend? The return of "The Affair" of course! I've talked about this show before (why don't you ever listen to me??) so this shouldn't be new to y'all. I won't give any spoilers, but I will share what show creator Sarah Treem said to TV Guide: "I think that Season 3 is about accountability. I would say that Season 1 was "The Affair" and Season 2 was "The Crisis After the Affair." Before it gets better, it gets worse. Season 3 is basically about the characters taking stock of what's happened and figuring out how they themselves are accountable."
Sounds intriguing, eh? CATCH UP on showtimeanytime.com.
2. Two online magazines/blogs that speak to women: Lenny Letter and Jezebel
This one's a "twofer:"
Jezebel describes itself as an "online magazine focused on celebrities, sex, feminism, and issues relating to women's empowerment."
Lenny Letter is "the best from Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner in feminism, style, politics, friendship & more." Sign up for the newsletter to get Lenny in your mailbox twice a week.
Both are essential, especially if you're a snarky, foul mouthed, pissed off bitch like myself.
(P.S. If you're reading this Jezebel or Lenny, I want to write for you! Call me!)
3. Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party (VH1)
OMG drop what you are doing and check this out now. You won't be sorry. You think the interaction between Snoop and Martha is the best, then they bring in dinner guests. New episodes Mondays at 10pm on VH1. Catch up on VH1's website here.
The holidays are coming and we all need to make sure we've got our cooking skillz honed amiright? As someone who cooks quite a bit I was horrified to learn that I've been using a whisk wrong. Mon dieu! Let's all checkity check ourselves shall we? Click here to learn from Tip Hero how to perfect your whisking (or just watch the video below). You're welcome.
5. UK Christmas Ads
OK usually I'd be complaining that Christmas is being sprung on us too early but in the case of these adorable ads from the UK, I'm making an exception. Do yourself a favor and check out the holiday ad from Heathrow Airport (the teddy bear ad) here; the John Lewis Buster the boxer ad here (this one also promotes The Wildlife Trusts); and the Marks & Spencer Mrs. Clause ad here. You'll get all the feels from each of them.
And so the holiday season begins! Be good to one another everyone.
